As we start to emerge from this initial period of lockdown, our focus remains on how we can best serve this retailer community – something which was key when developing the *shopt app a number of years ago. We leveraged years of field sales experience, channel and retailer insights to shape how the app should look and feel, what was important to that audience and how they wanted to interact with brands. For brands, it was about understanding the existing barriers to service this channel and providing a solution to overcome these barriers.
Today, *shopt services more than 20,000 retailers in the convenience channel by giving them access to brand communication, ranging and display advice, cash reward offers and NPD information. Multi-brand, cross category, it has become a one stop shop – driving efficiency for Retailers. Our portfolio of world-class brands includes LRS, Mars & Diageo – all benefitting from an entirely new and digital approach to engaging and influencing this important Channel. Often combined with field sales teams, *shopt is an increasingly crucial part of the convenience strategy for many brands.
As we look to the future, the scope of *shopt looks broader than ever before. We are expanding into new markets, to support brands outside of the UK, along with launching into new channels within the UK (more to follow!). As *shopt expands and grows, we remain focussed on our core objective – to provide an industry leading digital solution to engage and influence key audiences that drives sales.
